Progress on protecting native Yellowstone cutthroat trout in Yellowstone National Park

Photo: Neal Herbert/National Park Service[/caption]Some great news out of Yellowstone National Park this spring: numbers of native Yellowstone cutthroat trout are up while numbers of lake trout are down.
For any angler who remembers what fishing on the Yellowstone River in Yellowstone National Park was like before non-native lake trout were illegally introduced into Yellowstone Lake, there's reason for optimism. For those that haven't yet experienced, looks like now is the time.
